Take a look at the full Moon. Most people talk about the “Man in the Moon”. This is a result of the massive flat plains that occupy much of the Moon’s surface. It faces us constantly. Woolly mammoths used to be very abundant on our planet. Between 1750 and 1917, trade in mammoth ivory prospered over a wide geographical region, yielding an estimated 96,000 mammoth tusks. It is estimated that about 5 million mammoths lived in just a small portion of northern Siberia. Ivory gathered from that region provided more than half the world’s supply for making piano keys, billiard balls and white chess-men. Hundreds of millions of mammoths were suddenly killed. Two scientists at London’s Imperial College carefully examined eight Cretaceous dinosaur bones discovered in North America, scrutinizing the bones’ interiors with an electron microscope. The researchers were stunned when they discovered what appeared to be red blood cells in one of the specimens. Upon closer examination, the British scientists identified an internal structure within the dinosaur cells, complete with nuclei and amino acids. We started by looking at the creation of Eve from Adam’s rib, and followed on by considering Israel as a Chosen Nation, and how eventually they became sleepy. Then Paul showed us how the sleep of Israel begat the times of the Gentiles, and the formation of the Church, the Bride of Christ. All this can now be presented in the form of a Table of Comparison, whereby an interesting truth emerges. [Read more…]

     DEEP SLEEP.  Hebrew TARDEEMAH, from the verb  RADAM, to sleep. In this first reference to sleep in the Bible, we are presented with something akin to modern surgery, and the use of anaesthetics. We are not told how much time was needed for this surgery, but “the Lord closed up the flesh in its place”, quite like a modern operation. And then He brought Adam out of the “anaesthetic” and presented him with a wife. [Read more…]
