The “Cosmic Chessboard” describes the way in which world events unfold. The chessboard has visible pieces, but the game is played by invisible hands. It is the hand of Sammael that moves the Blackmen, striving against the hand of God which moves the Whitemen. But God has limited the power of Sammael, inasmuch as the pieces can only move according to the rules of the game. And by the same token God has limited Himself to the same set of rules. Furthermore, authority is needed for hands to move the chessmen, and this authority is granted according to the responses of human beings. Obedience to God is known as faith, whereas obedience to Sammael might conveniently be called antifaith. Acts of faith and antifaith are the authorities for moving pieces on the board. Small acts of faith might be reflected in the moving of a pawn, whereas greater acts of faith could initiate the moving of horse, castle, bishop or even queen. [Read more…]

Creation Restored (Final)
“The earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the manifesting of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.” Romans 8:19-22 Even the stuff of which things are made is under strain, though we know it not. [Read more…]

A Time of Judgment
Why is Judgment so often seen as Condemnation? In law courts Judgment is (supposed to be) towards the establishment of the innocent, and condemnation of the guilty. And so it will be in the days of God’s Judgments, which begin as soon as He establishes His first sons on earth in resurrection. These sons will require righteousness in man’s dealings with man, truth and fidelity towards neighbours, and a new look at God’s Laws. They will be hated by those who prefer the ways of darkness, and there will be many attempts to eradicate them from society, but without avail. The resurrection state will be impervious to any form of attack, whether it be by fists, implements, poisons or bullets. This very fact will begin to cause fear to develop amongst men and women as they realize they are helpless to oppose the advance of righteousness. [Read more…]

Returning to One’s Homeland
As we approach the climax of the ages, and God begins to establish His Kingdom on earth in a visible manner, the subject of national identity and sovereignty will assume vital importance. The Scriptures declare unambiguously that God favours the establishment of nations, each with its own identity, customs, and manners, even though the “Kingdoms of this world have become the Kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ.” The United Kingdom of Christ is a spiritual foundation stone, but it will contain all the varieties of national characteristics. Even as each human being is unique in God’s creation, so also each nation in the Kingdom will be unique. Furthermore, each nation will be self-governing, not ruled by other nations. Each nation will need to look to the Lord as Spiritual Head over all nations, even the Lord Christ Himself. [Read more…]

The Deliverer comes to Zion
“All Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob.” Romans 11:26. The concept of a “Deliverer” comes from the Book of Judges, where men like Gideon were called Deliverers. Zion is the royal centre of Jerusalem. [Read more…]

The Role of Michael the Archangel
Not only Elijah, but the Archangel Michael will be on duty during the build-up of this Great Revival. But whereas Elijah will be very much in evidence here on earth, Michael will be unseen by most, dealing with matters on a higher dimensional level, on behalf of all God’s children. He will be either incarcerating or destroying the wild beasts of Revelation that have injected their evil schemes into the minds of godless people, whereby they become human reflections of what the beasts are themselves. When these beasts have been removed from their heavenly positions, the minds of men may begin to resume a more human outlook, less like terrorists. [Read more…]

Times of Refreshing & Times of Restitution
Elijah is prophesied to “turn the fathers to the children, and the children to the fathers.” There has been no day like the present when family life is disrupted almost beyond repair, where marital breakdown has thrown so many children into the category of “one-parent families”.
But Jesus affirmed that “Elijah will come first and restore all things,” which has a wider connotation. The verb to restore, is apokathistemi in Greek, a verb describing a complete restoration, as found, for example in Matt.12:13 where Jesus said to a man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and it was restored as whole as the other.” [Read more…]

The Coming of Elijah
Due to a misunderstanding of what Jesus said, we hardly ever hear about the Prophet Elijah returning to the earthly scene. But this is as certain as all the other Biblical prophecies. Here is the Scriptural evidence.
Malachi 4 :5-6 “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”
This has never happened. But the Lord Jesus confirmed Malachi’s word when He said, “Indeed, Elijah is coming first and will restore all things.” Matt.17:11 [Read more…]

The Character of the Coming Revival
Just a few years after the “Jonah” prophecy, another of God’s prophets had a word describing the character of the coming revival. Here is the text of that prophecy. The Great Revival and Judgment Scene will not be to everyone’s liking, but will be a time of blessed relief for the downtrodden, persecuted, and despised of the world. [Read more…]

The Great Revival of Jonah’s Day
The Bible has an account of a special Revival, the Great Revival of Jonah’s day. The Lord told Jonah that He would destroy Nineveh. Jonah wanted Nineveh destroyed. He feared that by invasion that wicked city might spell disaster for Israel. So the disobedient prophet went on a Mediterranean cruise, but God had a purpose, and would not be thwarted. Due to the storm, and Jonah’s explanations, he was thrown overboard, thinking that by his death God’s prophecy would be fulfilled. And yes, he did die in the fish, and the fish said, “You make me sick,” and unceremoniously vomited him onto the shore, where He was raised from the dead. Much chastened by the experience he made preparations to go to Nineveh, having yellow wrinkled skin from the digestive juices of the fish. This became the mark of a sign. News from the terrified sailors got around, and eventually reached Nineveh. When Jonah finally arrived there, people were dead scared of him, and the king ordered national repentance. So great was this event that it affected everyone. The whole city of Nineveh repented, and God’s judgment was averted. There were 120,000 children in that city, too young to know left hand from right. So it must have had a population of about 700,000 people, a truly great revival. [Read more…]
