The “Way” and the “System”
Those in the front line can never have complete immunity from the enemy, but fear not.
There is no cause for alarm.
Even though your colours are tattered,
I will bring you to the full accomplishment of my purposes.
He who’s heart is right with me can never fail,
but he who draws back,
finding no further pleasure in his Lord,
halts my progress in him until he repents and changes his ways,
and returns from whence he fell.
I have to deal with you individually
because I desire each man, each woman, to reach maturity
by the exercise of the human will in response to my words.
To follow a crowd, albeit a crowd of fellow-believers,
is to reduce the areas of personal choice and slow down my workmanship.
The way of antichrist is the way of the system,
in which personal choice is reduced as much as possible,
and people become content to rely upon the directions of others.
Systems of this type are found in every branch of religion.
But in Christianity it is most pernicious.
If any man desires to be like God, this is good.
But let him first enter the sanctuary and lay his life before me,
and find out what I am truly like.
To fashion a life on an erroneous image is to court disaster.
The antichrist is the one who denies the Father and the Son.
He denies the Father because the Son came to declare what I am truly like.
He denies the Son by refusing to walk in His footsteps,
in the way of the cross.
Understand that this denial is no cheap denial in the lips of those who say there is no God.
It is the denial that comes from refusing the way my Son walked.
Hence it is within the churches that antichrist will find his chief power.
He grows by antifaith, not by lack of faith.
He is sustained by antiprayer, not by lack of prayer.
And the fruit of his plant shall be the fruit of the tare,
black seeds fit for the burning.
And the baptism of his spirit is the baptism of the spirit of evil.
All those who choose his way rather than mine
will do so according to their own minds, their own deliberations.
They will make their choice,
and make it with much dogmatism and persuasion,
but I will only judge them according to the true light they received.
